- 2nd most common primary bone tumor
- Highly malignant cancer
- Begins in medullary cavity of a bone

- Primarily affects young children (especially males), adolescents, and young adults under 30
- Peak incidence is during growth spurts

A
- Pain and swelling in the extremity
- Pain worsening at night or w/ exercise
- Weakness

- X-ray, MRI, and scintigraphy to determine size, location of tumor
