Clinical presentation for L3 SCI
A
- Partial innervation of gracilis, iliopsoas, QL, rec fem, and sartorius
- Full use of UE and hip flexion, adduction, and knee extension

Possible additional findings w/ L3 SCI
A
- Sexual dysfunction
- Non-reflexive bladder
- Need for a bowel program
- Flaccid paralysis below level of lesion
- Risk for pain, UTI, muscle contractures, and pressure sores

Medical management of L3 SCI
A
- IV methylprednisolone to control the amount of secondary damage and improve neuro outcome

PT management of L3 SCI
A
- TLSO for bracing initially
- ROM, strengthening
- Endurance activities
- Bed mobility
- balance training
- Transfers
- Gait training
- KAFO or AFO one pt has strength to use crutches
