what is the most accurate and non invasive test for H pylori
C urea breath test
if presenting with gastritis and < 55 what do we do
test for H pylori - C urea breath test or stool antigen
if presenting with gastritis and >55
upper GI endoscopy
if H pylori treatment doesnt work
- make sure H pylori has gone - C urea breath test
- stop PPI for 2 weeks and do upper GI endoscopy to exclude cancer
what is the treatment for h pylori
triple OAC or OMC
autoimmune gastritis
antibodies destroy parietal cells and IF deficiency leading to gastric atrophy
