What are the 5c’s?
CANCEL: the DRA obtained from driver of disabled train and he piloted to disabled train

At an attended location, who cancels the train authority?
Signaller

The driver when it is confirmed all combined trains have arrived complete
How do you cancel a TA?
Write the word cancelled Time and date Sign the TA across the face of the form Contact train control Submit incident report
When entering a wrong line section how far away from the disabled train should the relief driver come to a complete stop?
15km to the protection point
How do you secure a disabled train from the advance?
Obtain track access
Carry out full cab unattended procedure
Take the DRA, train radio, pen, keys and hand signals
Ensure red marker lights are illuminated on the rear
Walk 500 meters from train or to first fixed signal at stop
Display red hand signal
Inform tc that the train is protected

Train authority and as per signal aspects, once at the disabled train a track circuited with no low speed caution exemption may be needed
If there are no comms, is a driver allowed to protect the train?
Yes from the rear

From the rear following as long as a rail reserve is available
When entering the section from the rear with a train authority issued, if the signal cannot be put to proceed how would a driver enter the section?
Track circuited with no low speed caution or calling on to enter an occupied track
