Trips Switches Gauges Cocks Door closed button is illuminated Supply light is on
How would you verify 110vdc is running through the train?
Supply light
Bells work
LP flag is low and ep is operational
What are the six steps for the ROBBDS test?
Reverse Overload Brake pipe Bypass button (control governor) Door loop bypass Second controller
Name the two types of fault types?
Persistent and intermittent

How is electricity supplied to the comeng?
1500vdc from the Pantographs to the MA which converts the 1500vdc to 415vac and 110vdc
How many MAs per 3 car set?
2, one per motor car
If one MA drops out, what is lost?
Half air con Half saloon lights Half headlights Half cab lighting and Heating Local rheo where MA is located due to no cooling fan
What causes an MA to become defective?
Loss of overhead Air leak in MA contactor system No main res Over speed Isolated cocks Panto drops
What is the difference between the 110vdc and 415vac circuit
110vdc is train lined
415vac is restricted to 3 cars
When doing brake pipe reduction on a ROBBDS test, at what KPA do we reduce the brake pipe too?
325kpa
What does the auxiliary to pantograph interlock isolate?
1500v to the MA and compressor
What does the main switch isolate?
Cuts off 1500v to the line breakers and traction motors
