A
complex inflammatory condition assoc with HLA B51, very variable
oral and genital ulcers

DDx of mouth ulcers
A
normal squamous cell ca herpes simplex hand, foot+ mouth disease (kids) IBD rheum arth, SLE folate deficient

general features of Behcet’s disease
A
3 severe mouth ulcer /yr kissing ulcers on genitals red halo around ulcers skin rashes eye signs arthralgia GI ulceration CNS probs vein thrombosis pulmonary artery aneurysms (can rupture + be fatal)

A
pathergy test
subcut abrasion
check wheal in 48 hrs , see if 5mm+

A
steroids
colchicine
ISupp
relapsing remitting
