A
not often painful unilateral segmental redness foreign body sensation dilated vessels on surface watering no discharge

management of episcleritis
A
cold compress, safety net, analgesia
1-4 weeks resolve
can try topical steroids, NSAIDs

A
full thickness sclera inflammation
most severe type is necrotising scleritis which can lead to perforation
usually no pain but visual impairment

severe pain in eye pain on eye movement photophobia eye watering reduced acuity abnormal pupil + light reaction tenderness to eye palpation
