The sum total of an individual’s characteristics which make them unique.
What are the three methods of measuring personality?
Questionnaires, Interviews, Observation
What is trait theory?
Trait theory suggests that personality is inherited and consistent.
What is the trait theory formula?

What are Eysenck’s 4 personality traits?
Neurotic, Stable, Introversion and Extroversion.
What are the limitations of trait theory?
They are too long lasting, cannot consistently predict behaviour, does not take into account situational behaviour.
What is social learning theory?
It suggests that personality is learned from others.

Personality is created from both traits and environment however environment is more likely to affect it.
