Damages soft tissue and high risk of infection.

An injury that occurs after exercise for a long time.
What are 4 signs of an acute injury?
Sudden pain, swelling around the injury, Restricted movement, a joint out of place.
What are the 4 types of acute injury?
Fractures, Dislocations, Strains, Sprains.
What are 3 signs of a chronic injury?
Pain during exercise, Ache when resting, Swelling.
What are 3 types of chronic injuries?
Tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis, Stress fracture.
What is screening?
Identifying those at higher risk from complications during exercise.
What is protective equipment?
Equipment used in sports to prevent injuries such as a gumshield or shinpads.
