  • Pericardiocentesis +/- surgical drainage (blood, pus etc.)

  • Chest pain (MI-like or pleuritic)
    • Relief with sitting forward
  • Symptoms and signs of right heart failure
  • Friction rub (end expiration, left sternal edge)
  • Risk factors (infection, some drugs, radiation)
