How is Barrett’s oesophagus diagnosed? What are the management prinicples?

Normally diagnosed on endoscopy and biopsy
- Low-grade dysplasia
- PPI (esomeprazole) and surveillance
- RF ablation or surgical treatment of GORD (fundoplication)
- High-grade dysplasia
- Oesophagectomy/RF ablation/endoscopic resection depending on extent and type of Barrett’s
- PPI
