- Cartwheeling myocytes
- Thickened wall leading to relative ischaemia and LV diastolic dysfunction
- Arrhythmias, SCD, angina, heart failure

- Genetics
- Pregnancy

What are some long-term complications of dilated cardiomyopathy?
A
- Eccentric ventricular hypertrophy with fibrosis
- Failure, arrhythmias, SCD, thromboembolism

What most commonly causes myocarditis? How does it present?
A
- Viruses (Coxsackie, Echo, TB, toxo)
- Infection, chest pain, syncope, rapid heart failure
