What is an outcome measure?
A
A measure of change, the difference from one point in time (usuallybefore intervention) to another point in time (usually after an intervention)

Why do we use outcome measures?
A
- Tools can support and inform clinical judgement
- Enables aclinician to be clear regarding apatient’s problem, plan appropriate goals and treatment
- Measurescan supportteam communication
- Canmonitor a patient’sprogress (objectively)
- Can support planning and decision making
