What are the 2010 guideline
Decrease foods high in solid fats, added sugars and salt
Eat the right amount of calories, btwn 1800-2500
Be physically active
Select seafood for protein, twice a week to get iodine
Decrease salt intake
Substitute solid fats for oils, olive oil instead of lard
What are the 2015-2020 guidelines
Limit calories from added sugar no more then 10%,
Saturated fats no more then 10%
reduce sodium intake no more then 2300mg a day
What is the intake for men and women like in meats, poultry and eggs / seafood / nuts / grains / sugar
- Men have a higher intake then women
- We both do not eat enough seafood
- Men in teen years tend to lack nuts

What are the appropriate body masses
Calculate by 703x weight in pounds/height in inches
25-29= overweight
30-35= obese class 1
35-40= obese class 2
40-45= obese class 3
Above 45= morbid obesity
Prealbumin level
15-35 mg/dl is normal
What does pre albumin do
Helps carry Transport protein around the body
Also a marker of inflammation, decreased levels indicate inflammation
What does albumin do
Important for osmotic pressure and hydration
Has 20-21 days of life
