- potent and v potent = local SE. skin thin, striae, telengiactesia, contact dermatitis.
- use on face; perioral dermatitis and worsen acne
- withdrawal = rebound acne of affected area
- adrenal supression and systemic SE =rare

- infected areas
- facial lesions = potent to be avoided and only short course

- ointment for lichenified thick and leathery skin

- dry and scaling skin disorders

oils or parrafin based to soften skin and reduce water loss by protection against evaporation
