nieuwe small scaled facilities
close to home, protective factors (work, school), tailored care, security. they can stop whenever they want, but they do not want to. staff is emotionally present. the adolescents have a seat at the table.
effects of seclusion
Short term: feeling powerless, denigrated, helpless
Long term: anxiety and post-traumatic stress
what is seclusion
seclusion is placing a child in their room against their will, which they cannot leave.
