“Life” como concepto general no lleva artículo en inglés. Sólo empleamos el artículo “the” cuando nos referimos a la vida de alguien en particular.

“you can tell” es decir “se nota”

“Gullible” es un adjetivo que empleamos para describir a una persona que se lo cree todo. Algo así como “crédulo”.
