3) we may share info about treatment with patents or guardians when minors consent to treatment, over the objection of the minor, but we are not required to share this information.
Do minors (ages 16 years or less) have the same capacity as adults to consent to consultation, diagnosis, or treatment of a psychological disorder with a physician, psychologist, or clinic?
Yes!
But, for all others (e.g., counselors, social workers, etc.), a parent or guardian’s consent is needed for this age group.
