How will the Board notify the psychologist that their licensure renewal has been denied? If the psychologist would like to request a hearing, what is the procedure?

Answer 0

The Board will notify the psychologist of the denial by certified mail. The psychologist must make the hearing request in writing and within 30 days of notification of the denial. The Board will then convene a hearing within a reasonable time on the denial of the renewal (if requested by the psychologist). A hearing conducted under this regulation may not be held in accordance with the Maryland Administrative Procedure Act.

1) If the psychologist did not complete the CE hours within the RP.
2) If the psychologist did not fulfill CE audit requirements within 30 days of being audited.
