What are the requirements for a supervisor?
1) Licensed to practice psychology in MD.
2) Or, exempt from licensure.
3) Or, licensed, certified, or exempt from licensure in the state or country in which the supervised professional experience was obtained.
4) Or, a student or fellow pursuing a supervised course of study as long as he/she is being supervised by (1), (2), or (3) above.
What is the general licensure requirement for supervised professional experience?

5) be in service-related activities like treatment, assessment, interviews, report writing, case presentations, supervision, and consultation for at least 50% of the training experience.
What are additional Pre-internship and ABD supervision requirements

For every 20 hours of experience, there shall include:
1) at least 2 hours of regularly scheduled face-to-face individual supervision.
2) at least 2 hours of other learning activities, such as: case conferences, seminars on applied issues, conducting co-therapy, or group supervision.
What are the requirements for Internship?
1) consist of a minimum of 1750 hours.
2) be completed within 24 months.
3) program must be accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral Internship Centers (APPIC); or be approved by the APA, CPA, or the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB)/National Register.
What are the requirements for post-doctoral supervised experience? What are appropriate titles for post-docs? What is the minimum supervision required for a post-doc?
Post-docs are required if an applicant has not completed 3250 hours of Pre-doctoral supervised experience. Post-docs can count toward a maximum of 1500 hours of the 3250 hours of professional supervised experience. A supervisor is ethically and legally responsible for all supervisee work covered by a written supervision agreement. Post-docs shall use titles indicating their training status, such as: “psychology resident,” “psychology intern,” or “psychology supervisee.” There shall be at least 1 hour of face-to-face supervision for every 20 hours of service-related activities.
When must post-docs apply to be a psychology associate?
When their experience is not exempt under Title 18.301 or 18.102. Such exempted activities include work performed by students, interns, residents, or fellows (during supervised course of study), and activities affiliated with the federal government, MD JIS (MD Dept. of Juvenile Services), a political subdivision of the state, a chartered educational institution, or a non-profit religious organization.
