What are the rules for applying for licensure for non-residents?
A
Applicants who are non-residents or who do not practice in MD (or who do not intend to live or practice in MD) must submit a statement showing that their licensure would be in the interest of the citizens or government of MD. Board will not accept the application if applicant does not live, practice, intend to live/practice, or provide adequate justification as described above. Until the applicant is licensed (or granted an exemption by the Board) he/she may not practice in MD, even if he/she holds a valid license/certificate to practice psychology in another state.
