Why is it important for applicants to live or practice (or intend to) in MD?
So that their licensure meets the needs of the residents of the State.
What are the 7 requirements that an applicant needs to meet to qualify for a license?
1) good moral character
2) age - 18 years old
3) education - the applicant has a doctoral degree in psychology
4) examination - must pass an exam given by the Board
5) experience - at least 2 years of professional experience that is approved by the Board
6) place residence - an applicant shall reside or practice or intend to reside or practice in MD, unless the Board has approved an exemption because they have judged that granting the license would be in the interest of the citizens or the government of the State
7) criminal history records check
