Warn, advise, allow, believe, cause, command, enable, encourage, entitle, force, invite, order, persuade, remind, show, teach, tell.

Decide, agree, consent, fail, hope, manage, offer, pretend, refuse, start, threaten, volunteer.

We’ve decided to leave early. (not we’ve decided us to leave early).

For some verbs, we put a preposition FOR after the verb.
Arrange, apply, advertise, campaign, long, plan, wait.

They arranged for Rania to stay in London.
They applied for the court to be postponed.

Other verbs need other preposition:
AT: Go on (criticize continually), keep on (talk continually), scream, shout, yell.
ON: call, count, depend, prevail, rely.
TO: appeal, gesture, motion, signal.

I shouted at the man to open the door.

We are depending on you to find a solution soon.

He closed the door and signaled to the pilot to take off.

A

We decided not to go to Paris. (Different from We didn’t decide to go to Paris).
Some of my friends have considered not going to college due to the costs. (I haven’t considered going to college).
The accident seems to have happened around 1pm.
Simon is alleged to have assaulted a police officer.

We now regret buying the car.
I now regret having bought the car.
(admit, deny, forget, recall, remember).
