We add information with a noun phrase, that comes in comma in writing and a pause in speaking.
When the additional information is the person’s name, there is no comma.

A

A hooded cobra, one of the most world’s dangerous snakes, has escaped from the Zoo.
Dr. Alex Parr, director of the state museum, is to become the government’s arts adviser.

My friend Mia has moved to Sweden.

We can add information with a conjunction AND, OR. Without comma.

When we use the nouns NAMELY or THAT IS, they come in comma.

A
