Adjectives can be used BEFORE the noun or after the verbs:
Appear, be, become, feel, get, seem.

Some adjectives to emphasize are used before the noun.
Classifying adjectives: nuclear, atomic, chemical, digital, domestic, environmental, medical, general, occasional, northern, maximum, minimum, underlying.

Qualitative adjectives are used before the noun or after the linking verbs.

Some qualitative adjectives can be before or after:
Economic, academic, conscious, educational, illegal, scientific.

A

The high price surprised him.
The price seemed high.

I felt a complete fool.
I was a total failure.

A nuclear explosion….

A beautiful sunset or the sunset was beautiful.

The country’s economic reforms.
The process isn’t economic.

Some adjectives never used BEFORE the noun:
some A-adjectives-alone, afraid, alike, alive, ashamed, asleep, awake, aware.
Adjectives to describe HEALTH or FEELINGS:
unwell, ill, content, fine, glad, sorry, unsure, upset, well.

The horse was alone in the field. (not the alone horse…).

My son felt unwell.

Many adjectives can be used AFTER a noun:
Adjectives before TO-INFINITIVE.
Some IBLE or ABLE adjectives: available, imaginable, possible, suitable.

Some words have different meanings if used before or after a noun:
concerned, involved, opposite, present, proper, responsible.

A

It was a speech calculated to appeal to the unions.
He is a manager capable of making difficult decisions.
This was the most difficult decision imaginable.
It was a treatment suitable for all children with asthma.
All the people present approved of the decision.
I was asked for my present address. (actual address).
