A
Paralytic. Non-Depolarizing neuromuscular blocker.
1. Provides skeletal muscle relaxation to facilitate endotracheal intubation

A
Onset 1min / Duration of 25-30min

Indications
A
- Maintenance of paralysis after intubation to assist ventilation during prolonged transport
- May be used as initial paralytic if Succinylcholine is contraindicated and Rocuronium is not available

Known Hypersensitivity

Precautions
A
- Elderly Patients
- Patients with cardiovascular disease, hepatic disease, obesity, neuromuscular disease.
- Do Not Mix with Alkaline Solutions
- Prior administration of succinylcholine may enhance the neuromuscular blocking effect
- Monitor Heart Rate Continuously

A
ADULT and PEDS: 0.1mg/kg IV/IO
NOTE: Do Not Mix with Alkaline Solutions

Adverse Reactions
A
Prolonged dose related to respiratory insufficiency or apnea, Wheezing, Aspiration, Bradycardia, Sinus Arrest, Hyper- or Hypo-tension, Increase intraocular pressure
