Indications
A
- To control ventricular rate in symptomatic atrial fibrillation or flutter
- Use after adenosine to treat refractory re-entry SVT in pts with narrow complex QRS

Contraindications
A
- Sick Sinus Syndrome
- 2nd or 3rd Degree Heart Block
- A-Fib associated with WPW or short PR syndrome
- Hypotension - Systolic <90mmHg
- Cardiogenic shock
- Hypersensitivity
- Wide complex tachycardia

Precautions
A
- Can cause hypotension
- Impaired renal or hepatic function
- Patients on oral beta-blockers

Dosages / Administration
A
- ADULT: Initial Dose 15-20mg/2min IV. Second Dose after 15min, PRN is 20-25mg/2min IV
- PED: CONTACT MARY BRIDGE

Adverse Reactions
A
Bradycardia, CP, Syncope, Ventricular arrhythmia, V-Fib, Sweating/Diaphoresis, Dizziness, Dry Mouth, Headache
