Indications
A
- Brdaycardic renal dialysis pts s/t Hyperkalemia exhibiting tall, peaked T-waves, QRS Prolongation, low P-waves
- Calcium-channel blocker or beta-blocker overdose
- Antidote for magnesium sulfate toxicity
- Crush Injury Syndrome Hyperkalemia

Contraindications
A
- Ventricular Fibrillation
- Digitalis Intoxication (may result in Asystole)
- Hypercalcemia

Precautions
A
- Extravasating causes tissue sloughing
2. Do Not Mix with Sodium Bicarbonate (flush line first)

Dosages / Administration
A
- 10% = 100mg/mL
- ADULT: 1000mg (1g)/5min IV/IO; may be repeated PRN in 20min
- PED: 20mg/kg SLOW IV Push

A
Bradycardia, Asystole, Ventricular Fibrillation
