Paralytic. Non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocker
1. Provides skeletal muscle relaxation to facilitate endotracheal intubation

Indications
A
- To facilitate ET Intubation in patients with an intact gag reflex
- Maintenance of paralysis after intubation to assist ventilation during prolonged transport

Contraindications
A
Known Hypersensitivity

Precautions
A
Patients with neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis or myasthenia syndrome may have prolonged periods of paralysis

Dosages / Administration
A
- ADULTS: 1mg/kg IV/IO Push
- PEDS: 1mg/kg IV/IO Push
NOTE: MUST Be Stored Under Manufacturer’s Instructions.

Adverse Reactions
A
- May cause tachycardia in up to 30% of patients
2. May cause temporary hypotension or hypertension
