Contraindications
A
- Known Hypersensitivity
- Respiratory Depression
- Patient in Labor

Precautions
A
- Elderly Patients generally require Lower Dose
- Opiate Naive Pts should receive Lower Dose
- Significantly Smaller Dosing Required for hydromorphone than for morphine.

Dosage / Administration
A
Adult: 0.01mg/kg every 5-10min titrating to effect, MAX Dose of 2mg, IM or SIVP.
Elderly: 0.005mg/kg, MAX Dose of 1mg.
Peds: 0.01mg/kg IM or SIVP/IO Over 3min, MAX Dose 0.5mg. May repeat after 5-10min x 1.
