What is music perception?
The brain perceives rhythm and temp (patterns), melody and harmony (contrasts), consonance and dissonance (emotionality).
What is amusia?
Hard time hearing differences in music.
What is acoustic agnosia?
Unable to hear song in head.
What is sound localization?
How far and close a sound is. Helps perceive depth.
What is binaural and monaural?
Binaural is two ears. Monaural is one ear.
What is the Doppler effect?
Sound moving locations. Higher frequencies as it gets closer to you.
What is phoneme ambiguity?
It is two letters sounding the same. G and D sound the same.
What is the tritone paradox? Includes Shepard’s Tone illusion.
Infinitely increasing tones. It is tones increasing and decreasing stimotaneously to create a swelling sound.
