What is the gustatory system compromised of?
A
It compromised of taste buds: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, umami (savoury).

Can’t detect if it is salty or sweet.

What is involved in odours?
A
As you get older, your tolerance for certain odours increases. There are natural preference of flower odours and a dislike for faces and fish.

A
Unable to smell.

What are pheromones?
A
They are like proteins. Sex pheromones involve an individual picking a mate bc of their sweat. Alarm pheromones tends to cause a reaction; either flight or fight.
