Unit 4.3 - Light Waves (Vision) Flashcards
What is vision known for?
It is the most complex sensation yet the most corrupt perception.
What are three components to light?
There is brightness, colour hue, and saturation.
What is colour hue in regards to light waves?
It is determined by the wavelength and frequency.
What is brightness in regard to light waves?
It is determined by the amplitude. The higher the amplitude, the more brighter it will be.
What is saturation in regards to light waves?
It is determined by the purity of wavelength.
What does a high and then low frequency equal to?
It equals to a short wavelength. Low is equal to longer wave length.
What is reflecting light?
Objects reflect all other colours but absorbs the one we see.
What is an additive?
Adding wavelengths; you get a white light.
What is subtractive?
Subtracting wavelengths; you get a darker centre.
