What is a risk assessment and why do we use it?
A
A process of identifying, evaluating, and prioritising potential hazards or risks associated with a particular activity, process, or situation.
By improving health and safety outcomes, we can reduce the likelihood of accidents, injuries, and adverse events, leading to a safer and more productive working environment.

Procedure for carrying out a risk assessment?
A
- Identify the potential hazards
- Complete the risk factor by using the table comparing likelihood against severity
- Complete the control measured to reduce the risk of harm
- This will inform the risk evaluation, if medium then a permit or company permission is required, anything above job is not allowed to happen
