Post op care of tooth socket

A
  • Socket curetted with periapical curette to remove any periapical lesion
  • Thorough inspection
  • Sharp bone edges smoothed with bone file or rongeurs forceps
  • Lingual and buccal plate compression w/ fingers→ restores expansion of socket and control haemorrhage
  • Patient applies pressure on gauze→ 30-45 mins
