  • Paroxysmal, severe colicky pain
  • Draws up legs
  • Pallor in episodes pain
  • Abdo distension
  • Sausage-shaped mass (often palpable)
    Redcurrent jelly stool (blood-stained mucus)

  • I.V. volume expansion (often pooling of fluid in gut which may cause hypovolaemic shock)
