Q

Special: CSF

A

Opening pressure (norm = 5-20cm H20)

  • raised = SAH, meningitis
  • reduced = Spontaneous intracranial hypotension

Xanthochromia: yellow appearance of CSF due to bilirubin. Detect by spectrophotometry
