What is cadence?
Cadence is the amount of steps an athlete takes per minute while walking or running/
What is tibial torsion?
Tibial torsion is the internal or external twisting of a child’s shinbone.
What is the “Tibial Angle Inclination”?
Refers to where the foot is in relation to the COM as an athlete is in a flat foot position.
What is pelvic drop?
It’s when the contralateral hip drops
What is peak knee flexion?
The maximum amount the knee flexion at midstance.
What is knee window?
When all your weight is on one leg, and the other leg is swinging forward, the amount of space between your knees is called the knee window.
What is hip extension?
When the femur extends behind our body or when our leg passes behind our center of gravity when we are running or walking
What is peak ankle dorsiflexion?
The amount the ankle is dorsiflexed right before the heel lifts of the ground.
What are the most common mistake people make when trying to “fix” form?
- Coaching where to land on the foot.
- Coaching landing on a straight foot.
- Not working on cadence.
- Neglecting strength work.
- Working on too many thing at once.
