A
Protective clothing
Equipment - head collar, lead rope
Drugs - sedation/euthanasia

What is the role of a vet in a rescue?
A
Provide triage - assessment of injury
Provide sedation - usually chemical
Provide euthanasia - if required
Advise on welfare of trapped animal.

Rescue priorities
A
Create safe work space
Place head restraint
Assess whether worth rescuing
Provide chemical restraint
Do not release animal if no safe place to send them
