Q

What treatment is recommended for intranasal tumours in dogs?

A

Radiation therapy

(Chemotherapy has some efficacy, cytoreductive surgery was not shown to improve survival in dogs
with intranasal neoplasia. Surgical resection not feasible.
Radiation therapy is recommended as the treatment of choice. Exenteration after radiation was
shown to have an effect in one study (but also more complications) while another study did not
show any additional effect.)
