A congenital defect in the anterior abdominal wall just lateral to the umbilicus

What is the management of gastroschisis?
A
Can be delivered vaginally
Exposed bowel will be covered in a type of cling film
Neonates must have surgical correction within four hours of delivery

A
Where the contents of the abdomen protrude through the anterior abdominal wall but are covered in an amniotic sac formed by amniotic membrane and peritoneum
