Generalised tonic-clonic seizure

Epilepsy
Meningitis
Intracranial space occupying lesion
Syncopal episode
Electrolyte abnormalities

What is the management of a febrile convulsion?

A

Advise parents to phone an ambulance if a seizure lasts for more than 5 minutes
Identify and manage the underlying source of infection
Paracetamol and ibuprofen
