NOTE: A roll call of the affected unit shall be conducted in an uncontaminated area to ensure positive identification. This roll call can either be a positive visual identification of themember or HT acknowledgement. Units on scene shall be notified after positiveidentification of the located member to avoid unnecessary rescue attempts. The Maydayshall not be considered resolved until such time the member(s) has been moved to a safearea. The IC shall notify all units when the MAYDAY has been resolved and that normaloperations may resume.MMID Ch 5, 4.3
