If water is untreated you must boil it or use sterilisation tablets.
How do farmers prevent the spread of disease in plants and animals
Diseased plants are burnt to prevent the disease spreading
Animals may be treated using drugs however some diseases require whole herds to be slaughtered

Chemical dips are installed on farms to kill pathogens on footwear
How are diseases identified by farmed
By changed to an organism’s appearance or through identifying the pathogen by its DNA or antigens.
