What is the incubation period

A

There is time delay between harmful microorganisms entering your body and you feeling unwell. This is called the incubation period. During this time, the pathogens reproduce rapidly as they grow and reproduce they cause cell damage; some pathogens also produce toxic waste products.

They can’t reproduce by themselves so they take over a host organism’s cells to make more viruses.

A

Viruses attacks a cell -> inserts its genes -> tells the nucleus to copy its genes -> new viruses are made -> cell bursts, releasing the new viruses destroying your cell
