Incorrect Data Source
o Check the cable is plugged into the correct port
o Monitor is set to the correct source
—-HDMI, VGA
Physical Cabling Issues
o If you think it’s a bad cable, replace with a known working cable
o Discard bad cables
o RARELY go bad
o Bends too much = could destroy cable
Burned-out Bulbs
o Projector bulbs last only a certain amount of hours
o Replace bulbs
o Projectors = OEM bulbs
—Buy manufacturers bulbs [expensive]
Fuzzy Image
o Check the cables [screw in cables]
o Ensure computer is set to the correct resolution [native resolution]
o NOT set computer resolution to that particular resolution = looks blurry
Display Burn-In
o See the last image on the monitor
o May happen when an image is left on display for a long period of time [ALL LCD suffer]
o Try leaving display of white image for a long period
o Screensaver / mode to shut off screen
Dead Pixels
o Black dot on screen
o Manufacturer may replace after a certain number of dead pixels
Flashing Screen
o Check the cable is plugged into correct port
o Unplug, plug, reboot machine
Incorrect Color Display
o Adjust color setting on monitor, on screen display
Audio Issues
o Check the cable is plugged into correct port
o Check if volume is turned up
o Check speakers are plugged in
o Check speakers have power
Dim Image
o Check the brightness setting is up on the monitor
o Might have to replace the monitor if the backlight dead
o Laptop = reroute the cables correctly
Intermittent Projector Shutdown
o Could be a heating issue [maybe not fixable]
—On for too long, move to cool down, after 1 hour fan not working
o Could be set to ECO mode & shut off when the image is not moving for a long time
