Fiber services like FIOS are FTTP = Fiber to the Premises
Fastest service but also the most EXPENSIVE
Requirements:
ONT = Optical Network Transceiver
Converts the fiber cable from the provider to twisted pair to connect to the router

-Satellite
a. Widely available & might be the only option for those in rural areas
b. Requirements:
Satellite dish connected to a satellite receiver via coax
A clear view into space
c. Suffers from HIGH LATENCY which makes it unusable for: VoIP, video streaming, online gaming

-Cellular
a. Gained usage as coverage has grown quickly [becoming popular]
b. Requirements:
Within the 4G / LTE or 5G coverage
Mobile devices with a cellular radio installed
Wireless Internet Connection Types
-WISP
Wireless Internet Service Provider
a. Provides internet to smaller areas [rural] where cable / fiber is NOT available
b. Providers use wireless access points deployed & at customer sites
c. Requirements:
**Must be within the limited coverage area
