What does FTD stand for?
Frontotemporal disorders
What are frontotemporal disorders (FTD)?
Frontotemporal disorders (FTD), sometimes called frontotemporal dementia, are the result of damage to neurons in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.
What are the symptoms of frontotemporal disorders (FTD)?
Many possible symptoms can result, including unusual behaviors, emotional problems, trouble communicating, difficulty with work, or difficulty with walking.
What are neurovegetative symptoms?
Certain symptoms seen in depression such as increased appetite and weight, and hypersomnia
What is dysthymia?
A mild but long-term form of depression.
What is an adjustment disorder?
An adjustment disorder is an emotional or behavioral reaction to a stressful event or change in a person’s life

Intense thirst despite drinking plenty of fluids.
What baseline monitoring is required before starting prazosin?
Measure baseline orthostatic blood pressure
What is the standard dosage of prazosin in PTSD?
Prazosin 1 mg orally, at night for 2 days, then increase to 2 mg at night. Assess the patient’s response to therapy after 1 week to determine whether dose adjustment is needed. If it is, increase by 1 to 2 mg every week as tolerated. A dose between 3 and 15 mg at night is usually required.
