Differential Diagnosis of Vomiting in Children
A
○ Under 6 months age:
GERD, pyloric stenosis, intestinal obstruction, errors of metabolism, meningitis, UTI, shaken baby syndrome.
○ 6 months through adolescence:
acute gastroenteritis (usually fever +/- diarrhea), intussusception, meningitis, UTI, appendicitis, pancreatitis, DKA, CNS tumor, toxic ingestion, migraine, pseudotumor cerebri.
