Chronic inflammatory multi-system disease of unknown etiology.
Symptoms of SLE (Hint: RASH OR PAIN) :
Rash (malar or discoid)
Ar0thritis (nonerosive)
Serositis
Hematologic disorders (ie cytopenia)
Oral/nasopharyngeal ulcers
Renal disease
Photosensitivity
Antinuclear antibodies
Immunologic disorder (anti-dsDNA, anti-Smith, anti-phospholipid)

Diagnosis of SLE :
ANA ( Sensitive)
Anti-DS-DNA
Anti-Smith (most specific)
Anti-Phospholipid antibodies
Decreased serum complement (C3,C4)
